Fred Hall Show opens at Long Beach

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Jim Matthews, Outdoor WriterThe unofficial kickoff of the spring fishing season is the Fred Hall Fishing Tackle and Boat Show held at the Long Beach Convention Center each year. This year’s event runs from next Wednesday, March 4, through Sunday, March 8, and it marks the 63rd season the Hall family has put on this event.

The show will be one of the largest in the event’s history with more than 3,000 exhibits and more seminars and exhibitions that you could possibly attend even if you came all five days of the event. It’s like a live encyclopedia of fishing. From fishing destinations around the world, to gear and tackle for all types of fishing, to kayaks, sportfishers, and bass boats, if it has anything to do with fishing, you can find it at this event.
